DLG domicil

In 2020, DLG will move from Axelborg in Copenhagen to a large new headquarters in Fredericia.

It was given the name "Aksen" and was named Office Building of the Year 2021 thanks to its unique architecture, which blends in beautifully with its surroundings. An architectural gem by PHL Arkitekter.

The large domicile is made of various materials, but here we would like to highlight the entrance area, which was designed with our Woodfac Panel solution.

For the panel solution, 34x34 mm slats with Thermo-D Ayous wood were chosen. This is a beautiful, exclusive type of wood in brownish and warm colors with an almost knot-free surface.

The thermal treatment increases the dimensional stability, resistance and durability of the slats, as it reduces the moisture content of the wood and breaks down the wood's natural hemicellulose content, i.e. sugar compounds.

With the clear structure of the slats and the design freedom of the façade system, it is possible to create an impressive appearance with a long and stable service life.
