A sustainable flagship

In January 2024, the wood and DIY chain Fog opened its new headquarters in Lyngby, where sustainability plays a central role in both the choice of materials and the use of modular, recyclable components.

Both the head office and the large parking lot and the "bridge" that connects the buildings are built with fire-resistant wooden slats made of thermo pine or thermo ash.

For this beautiful building with wooden slat cladding, Nordisk Profil supplied the entire façade for the head office and the walkway, as well as part of the façade for the parking garage.

The façade of the head office is clad with 34x34 mm slats at 106 mm intervals, while the façade of the parking lot facing Firskovvej is clad with 34x34 mm and 34x68 mm slats at the same 106 mm intervals.

The wooden slats are mounted with a larger optional cc spacing of 106 mm and two optional lengths of 34x34 mm and 34x68 mm.

By using wood as part of the primary façade element, you achieve a significant CO2 reduction and cost efficiency, making it easier to meet stricter climate requirements.

All our façade systems are also made from Greenline aluminum, which is 100% collected and recycled. Last but not least, we only use certified wood and the most sustainable Cradle to Cradle certified fire retardant.

The wooden slats and the underlying mounting system are also ideal for future extensions, as all components can be dismantled and either recycled into new products or reused 1:1 in other façade projects.

So it's not for nothing that we say that our façade systems are a sensible, future-proof and "right" choice.
