Despite its size, the large, beautiful parking garage in Vejle is a feast for the eyes and an architectural gem in the world of parking garages.

The most striking feature of this building - apart from its size - is the use of wooden slats as a load-bearing façade element.

We manufacture and supply façade solutions for many parking garages, but aluminum is most often chosen as the main material or a combination of both materials.

But here the architectural expression is created with our Woodfac Click solution, where 140x42 mm slats with a cc spacing of 300 mm are installed in combination with Corten panels.

What is exciting and special is not so much the choice of wood, because it is climate-friendly, fire-resistant and dimensionally stable and therefore perfect for a building like this. Rather, it is the way in which the slats are arranged.

The offset slats are mounted at an angle of 30° in combination with straight slats. This results in a beautiful architectural interplay, and the choice of wood blends in beautifully with the surroundings.
